FRENCH STUDY TOUR 2024
French Study Tour
Our intrepid students have returned from their great adventure on the French Study Tour. They have visited the highlights of Paris, where they viewed amazing monuments, museums, galleries, and palaces. Together they visited the Normandy, paying their respects to the sacrifice of our soldiers from both world wars, and Brittany where they have toured the majestic city of Rouen, and the wonders of Mt St Michel, St Malo and the wild pirate coast.
A week was then spent with host families from our sister school, Lycée Jean Zay in Orléans. Whilst there, they also visited the great châteaux of Angers, Amboise, Chambord, Chenonceau and Blois as well as Clos Lucé, the home of the elder Leonardo da Vinci, the magnificent town of Orléans and a goats cheese farm at Sempès. Staying with the host families gave a genuine taste of what it’s really like to live and learn in France. Thanks to Ms Greenhill, Ms Jessulat and Mr Sutcliffe for making it possible. It was a great experience.
