Careers Expo and Subject Selection Evening - A Great Success
Last week, Nazareth College was delighted to welcome students and families to our annual Careers Expo, held in conjunction with the Subject Selection Evening. The combined event provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore future career pathways while making informed decisions about their subject selections for the years ahead.
The Careers Expo featured a diverse range of exhibitors, including universities, TAFEs, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), employment agencies, apprenticeship and traineeship providers, and industry representatives. Students and their families had the opportunity to speak directly with exhibitors, ask questions about courses and career pathways, and gain a deeper understanding of the many opportunities available to them.
With subject selection a significant milestone in every student's educational journey, the evening enabled families to connect future aspirations with the subjects and pathways that will best support their goals. Whether students were considering university, vocational education and training (VET), apprenticeships, traineeships, or entering the workforce, the event provided practical advice and valuable information to assist with planning their next steps.
It was wonderful to see so many families engaging with exhibitors and attending the Subject Selection information sessions throughout the evening. The strong attendance reflected the importance our community places on preparing students for successful futures and ensuring they have access to a broad range of post-school opportunities.
The RTO representatives all commented on the engagement of students and parents, the intelligent questions that were asked and the willingness to be actively involved in getting informed about their options.
Nazareth College sincerely thanks all the universities, TAFEs, RTOs, employment agencies, and industry partners who generously shared their expertise and guidance.
We also thank our staff for their support in making the evening such a success.
Together, the Careers Expo and Subject Selection Evening empowered our students to make confident, informed decisions about their future learning and career pathways.
