Breakfast Club

Welcome to the GEC Breakfast Club!
The GEC Breakfast Club has been in full swing this term and will continue every term throughout 2025. We’re open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning from 8:00am to 8:30am in the kitchen and wellbeing garden, enter via Food Tech room 2. ALL STUDENTS WELCOME! The Breakfast Club was promoted at the recent Club Fair and since then it’s been great to see many year 7 students joining our club!
What is the purpose of the GEC Breakfast Club?
The GEC Breakfast Club aims to ensure students start the day with a healthy meal, to improve concentration throughout the school day and help students make friends and strong social connections. The kitchen and wellbeing garden is a warm and welcoming space for students to enjoy a great start to the day!
What is on offer at the GEC Breakfast Club?
We offer a variety of cereals, toast, vegemite, honey and piping hot cheese toasties, fresh apples, fruit cups and mini milks! During winter we offer porridge with milk and honey, baked beans as well as the regular items.
Lunches and snacks
Lunch items such as tuna salad, rice meal and fruit cup snacks are available at the Wellbeing Centre or Junior School Office for students to ask for when the need arises.
Fresh apples abound at GEC!
Fresh apples are supplied at the Sign-In Kiosk located at the General Office, very handy for students to grab and go if running late. Similarly our year 12 students are supplied fresh apples in the Year 12 Study Centre for healthy nourishment during private study time.
Home Food Packs available from the Breakfast Club
Home Food Packs can be ordered by the GEC Breakfast Club at any time of the year to support families.
Each food hamper contains enough breakfast food, snacks and lunches to help support one student for two weeks. If you would like a Home Food Pack for each child, please let us know on 9571 7838 so that you can collect from the General Office.
Who runs the GEC Breakfast Club?
The students enjoy a relaxed, fun atmosphere whilst eating breakfast with their peers, new students and teachers. We sincerely thank our volunteer teachers opening up the club bright and early at 8am!
