JUNIOR SCHOOL | Update

Dear Parents/Carers and Students

It is a bit hard to believe we are in Term 4 already! This term holds plenty of things to look forward to for our Junior School students as we celebrate the year that has been and plan for a smooth transition to 2026.

Congratulations to all our Year 7 and 8 artists who were featured in the annual Arts Exhibition, held this week. Students’ dedication to excellence was evident through not only the technical skill in their work, but through their pursuit of improvement throughout the creative process. A special well done to our Junior School award winners:

  • Year 7 Painting: Mia M

  • Year 7 Print Making: Coco Y

  • Year 7 Art All Rounder: Penny C

  • Year 8 Painting: Addi K

  • Year 8 Sculpture: Dani J

  • Year 8 Art All Rounder: Hannah W

Thank you to our dedicated Arts team as well as our generous community sponsors for making the Exhibition possible!

We look forward to seeing our Training Band and Junior Concert Bands performing at the upcoming End of Year Music Concert. Don’t miss out on your tickets via Frankston Arts Centre, as it’s always a spectacular display of talent from all of our major groups and VCE Music students.

On Thursday 23 October, our Year 7 students will participate in ELEV8, a special program that will focus on building students’ skills in relation to stepping up to Year 8. We look forward to welcoming keynote speaker Luke S Kennedywho will speak with the students about the themes of respect and resilience. Students need to wear full sport uniform on the day.

Additionally, we will be welcoming Speak and Sharea not-for-profit mental health charity that encourages open, honest conversations and challenges the stigma surrounding mental health, on Tuesday 2 December. Speak and Share will run workshops with our Year 7 students; more information will follow closer to the date.

Students will transition to their 2026 class groups and schedules as part of the Early Commencement Program, running from Monday 1 December to Friday 5 December. NOTE: Due to Year 7 2026 Orientation Day occurring on Tuesday 9 December, only student leaders are required to attend school on that day and Early Commencement classes will not be running.

On Tuesday 16 December, Year 7 students will celebrate 2025 with a visit to Gumbaya World, while Year 8 students will have the opportunity to attend Luna Park. Please keep an eye out on Compass for further details about these events.
