Celebrating the Class of 2025

Dear Senior School Parents, Carers and Students

As I write this, our Class of 2025 are engaging in their final week of classes. Congratulations to our Year 12 VCE and VCE Vocational Major students who have continued to demonstrate the school values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Empathy throughout their senior years. We are proud of the connections they have developed, the challenges they have overcome, and the positive impact they have had on our school community.

Students studying a Unit 3/4 subject are to be commended for their commitment and participation during the Year 12 September Practice Examinations. A special thank you to our Year 12 staff who gave their time during the holiday period to provide feedback and guidance, ensuring students were well prepared for their final assessments. Appreciation is also extended to the exam supervisor team and the Principal Team and Ms Brittany Harvey for ensuring these practice exams ran smoothly.

On Tuesday 14 October during Period 2, we celebrated the Final Year 12 Farewell Assembly. This special occasion was attended by the Year 7 cohort (Class of 2030), the Year 11 cohort (Class of 2026), and staff members. It was time to reflect on achievements, celebrate friendships, and acknowledge the resilience and growth shown by the Class of 2025. Ms Brittany Harvey, Ms Kate Burgess, and Ms Kelly Mitchell addressed the cohort and congratulated them on their journey and wished them every success for the exciting chapters ahead.

My deep gratitude and appreciation go to the Senior Team, in particular Ms Brittany Harvey, Ms Kate Burgess, Ms Kelly Mitchell, Ms Leanne Milne, Ms Jasmine Rabinov, Mr Alex Trickovic, Ms Claudia Tymms, Ms Mel Donegan, Ms Carla Caminiti, Ms Michaeli Lyon, Ms Teena Borshoff, Ms Rhonda Gifford, Ms Tina Thomas, and Ms Carolyn McIver. They have worked closely with our senior students throughout 2025, providing care, encouragement and support as students worked towards their goals.

The final week of Year 12 formal classes will conclude with PJ Day and a Picnic Lunch on Friday 17 October. This relaxed and light-hearted celebration will be a chance for students and staff to share gratitude and laughter as they mark the end of their time at Frankston High School.

We now look ahead to Celebration Day on Monday 20 October where we recognise the achievements, character and spirit of our graduating class. Following this, students will enter their final preparation period before the English Examination on Tuesday 28 October. During this time, the school will host a revision program that all students studying a Unit 3/4 subject are encouraged to attend. Details are available on Compass (and below), and students are welcome to study from school during SWOT VAC and throughout the VCAA examination period, with the support of their dedicated teachers.

All students have now received their personalised VCAA Exam Timetables and VCAA Navigator Guide, which outline their individual exam start and finish times, along with important information about VCAA rules and requirements. Please note that exam times will not appear on Compass, so students must refer directly to their personalised timetable to ensure they arrive punctually for every examination.

As our Year 12 VCE students prepare for their end-of-year VCAA examinationswe want to wish them all the best. We're confident that their dedication and hard work will lead to success. We look forward to celebrating the success and various achievements of the Class of 2025 with our students, parents and carers and staff at the Validatory on Wednesday 19 November.

Looking forward to the Year 11 End-of-Year Examinations held during Monday 17 November until Thursday 27 November. The exam timetable is available for students via Compass. We also want to wish our Year 11 students good luck as they prepare for these examinations. Formal Year 12 classes for the Class of 2026 will commence on Monday, December 1, and continue until Friday, December 5. This is part of their Year 12 Early Commencement Program, where they will begin engaging with important Year 12 skills and knowledge in preparation for their final year of secondary studies.

Once again, congratulations to the Class of 2025. Your journey at Frankston High School may be coming to an end, but your future is bright, and we can't wait to see the incredible paths you'll each carve for yourselves. We look forward to celebrating your achievements and contributions to Frankston High School at the Valedictory on Wednesday 19 November at the Crown Palladium.

Thank You to Our Central Australia Staff!

On Saturday 13 September, 80 of our Year 11 students departed for an unforgettable adventure to Central Australia, returning on Friday 26 September. For many, this has already been described as a highlight of their time at Frankston High School, an experience that created lasting memories, strengthened friendships, and deepened their appreciation for Australia’s unique natural and cultural environment.

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff who made this incredible experience possible: Trip Coordinator Ms Jodie Burton, along with Ms Leonie Argiriou, Mr James Arshid, Mr Sam Webster, Ms Tina Thomas, Ms Jasmine Rabinov, Ms Ginger Parker, Mr James Cameron and Ms Melody Westlake.

The success of the trip also reflects the maturity and enthusiasm of our Year 11 students, who are now eager to step up as the next role models and leaders of the school. Their teamwork, respect, and engagement throughout the trip showcased their readiness to embrace the responsibilities and opportunities of their final year ahead in 2026.
