The popularity of cookbooks has skyrocketed over the last 3-4 years in the library. Requests to purchase books come in all the time and we have something for everyone (67 titles and counting).
From beginners to masterchefs, meat lovers to vegans, bakers to family meal makers..........following a recipe from a book is having a revival and a cookbook even inspired me to make something from the Donna Hay, Too Easy book(100% delicious) I think mine turned out pretty well. Remember non-fiction books are a 3 week loan, plenty of time to get your chef hat on.

'Fool Night' story and Art by Kasumi Yasuda
In a distant future where the sun no longer shines, Toshiro Kamiya gives up his body to a sinister floral metamorphosis for a payday.
The earth is covered in thick clouds, and the sun no longer shines. Plants wither, and oxygen is thin. To fight extinction, humankind has developed a technology that turns humans into plants, providing a small amount of oxygen. Is this process sustainable? Is it ethical? Toshiro Kamiya must consider these questions as he’s faced with a difficult choice—save his family or save himself. Kamiya is at the end of his rope. His mother is ill, and his job barely pays for her medication, much less food. With few options left, he considers the life-changing process of transfloration. Ready to give his body up for a payday, Kamiya is about to explore the limits of society’s waning humanity.
A big shout out to Lewis Tan for being the first person to take this book for a test drive!
