From the Principal

Dear Parents/Carers, Students And Friends

SCHOOL TOURS

We have run a number of school tours with prospective families towards the end of last term and again this week. These tours were ably co-led by a range of students from across Years 7 to 12, who confidently shared their perspective on life as a student at Frankston High School. A special mention to Harry, Kira, Ethan and Charlotte who presented to groups of up to 250 about their experiences in Year 7 so far and their thoughts and feelings about the transition to high school. These have been extremely well attended and there continues to be enormous interest in our wonderful learning community. Thank you to our Junior Sub School Team: Mr Joel McMahon, Ms Catherine Kyriakos, Ms Phoebe Macreadie, Mrs Sharee Dew and Mr John Simon for their efforts in organising these tours. Thank you also to the large number of staff involved in making these a success by running a tour group or organising resources, and making our visitors so welcome at Frankston High School.

ANZAC DAY RECOGNITION

We are recognising ANZAC Day as a school community on Friday 26 April, an important occasion to remember all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served. Thank you to Mrs Sarah Bahramis for organizing this, supported by our incredible Music staff. We are also participating in recognition of ANZAC Day in the Frankston community with our School Captains representing our school with myself and Mrs Jessica Bambridge.

Congratulations to our eight (8) students who represented Frankston High School at the State Swimming Championships on Friday 19 April.
