FRANKSTON HIGH SCHOOL NETBALL

Lat week saw two teams of Frankston High School netballers battle it out in the Casey Cup, a full day of competition against leading sports schools in the region. The Intermediate team played excellent netball throughout, with many back-to-back games, but the competition was eventually just too strong. The Junior Team only lost one match all day and finished second overall in an excellent display. All our girls should be congratulated on their performance and the outstanding way they represented our school; they made us very proud.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTAL GEOGRAPHY  |  Exploring Port Phillip Bay

Our intrepid Middle School Environmental Geography students embarked on fieldwork to Blairgowrie to delve into the depths of marine pollution.

Under the guidance of the Geography staff – Mrs Cheryl Hodgson, Mrs Jackie Evans and Mr Brendan Mckinnon, the students didn't merely scratch the surface – they plunged into the underwater world, donning scuba gear to witness the marine environment firsthand. The water visibility was brilliant, allowing students to observe an array of marine life, from graceful stingrays to banjo sharks, from cunning octopuses to shimmering schools of fish and tiny seahorses. Students also bore witness to the harsh reality of marine pollution, collecting data on the management techniques used to combat marine pollution.
