A focus on College Interest sport
Term 3 2026 - Interest sport - Cooking Club
The Year 7 Cooking group for Sport, have engaged enthusiastically with the opportunity to develop their cooking skills!
Starting the term off with choc chip cookies, they will then advance their skills to sausage rolls, loaded fries and raspberry mocktails, nachos and jam drops - to name a few.
In our most recent session the students generously made cupcakes to donate to the Vinnie's van outreach service. They excitedly ensured the cupcakes were made with love and vibrancy. They are to be commended for their generosity.

Focus on an athlete
Matilda Mobbs - Archery
Matilda Mobbs has continued to achieve outstanding success in archery throughout 2026, establishing herself as an emerging para-athlete with aspirations of representing Australia at the LA28 Paralympic Games.
In 2026, Matilda was selected for the Senior National Para Squad with Archery Australia and categorised by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) as a developing athlete targeting the LA28 Paralympic Games. In recognition of her potential, Matilda was awarded a scholarship to join the NSW Institute of Sport Para Unit and was also selected for the Western Sydney Academy of Sport Para Squad.
Matilda’s achievements were recognised early in the year when she was nominated as a finalist for Regional Academy of Sport Athlete with a Disability of the Year in February.
Her performances on the competition circuit have been exceptional. In May, Matilda won gold in the U21 division at the Oceania Short Course Championships, followed by a bronze medal in the Open Para division at the NSW State Championships in June.
Alongside her competition commitments, Matilda has been undertaking high-level training at Sydney Olympic Park with the Australian National Para Team. In July, she participated in a high-performance training camp on the Sunshine Coast with Archery Australia, further developing her skills and experience alongside Australia’s leading para archers.
Unfortunately, Matilda will miss this year’s National Championships due to her HSC commitments. However, she remains focused on her long-term goals and is already working towards the World Championships in September 2027.
Over the next two years, Matilda will be part of a team of Australian athletes competing in a number of international competitions as they work towards securing quota spots for Australia at the LA28 Paralympic Games. Balancing this demanding high-performance pathway with completing her HSC is an incredible achievement and demonstrates Matilda’s commitment, determination and dedication to both her education and her sporting ambitions.
Matilda should be extremely proud of what she has accomplished in 2026. Her continued progression through the Australian para archery pathway is a remarkable achievement, and we look forward to following her journey towards the World Championships and, ultimately, her goal of competing at the LA28 Paralympic Games.
Sporting Team Achievements
Congratulations to our Intermediate Netball Team, coached by Mrs Hodges, who have taken out two Championships in just two days!
The team are now back-to-back champions, claiming both the NSWCCC Netball Championship and the PDSSSC Thursday Representative Sport Competition. What an incredible achievement!
We wish the team the very best of luck as they compete in the NSW Netball Cup Finals at Homebush this week, where they will battle it out for a coveted spot in the State Finals.
Well done, girls - we are so proud of you!
