CSPD Education Mass: Celebrating 40 Years

On Wednesday, CSPD and School leaders, parents and student representatives from the 80 schools across the Diocese of Parramatta gathered to celebrate the CSPD Education Mass, marking 40 years of Catholic education as a Diocesan Catholic Schools system.

The celebration brought together members of the CSPD community to give thanks for the rich history of Catholic education in the Diocese and to reflect on the shared mission of forming young people in faith, learning and service.

This year’s Mass was also attended by the Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Prue Car, who spoke fondly of her time as a student at Caroline Chisholm College and reflected on the significant role her education played in shaping her life.

A significant moment of the celebration was the launch of CSPD’s new Faith in Action document, Light for the World. The document provides a renewed vision for how our Catholic faith is expressed through action, encouraging our communities to respond to the needs of others and to bring the light of Christ into the world.

As we celebrate this important milestone, we give thanks for the past 40 years of Catholic education in the Diocese of Parramatta and look forward with hope to continuing our shared mission of forming young people who live their faith and make a positive difference in the world.
