Supporting Safe and Positive Online Experiences
While the recent changes to social media legislation are no longer new, we recognise that many families are still navigating what these changes mean in practice and how best to support their children in an increasingly connected world.
Last week, Bayside and Kingston Youth Services hosted a parent information session on child safety and awareness. Presented by Kristi McVee, the session explored a range of topics related to keeping children safe, including practical strategies for supporting safe and responsible online behaviour.
As a school, we are committed to continuing these important conversations and supporting families as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital world. We hope the Cyber Safety Project's Social Media Delay Parent Toolkit provides useful information, practical guidance, and opportunities for reflection and discussion at home.
