Drama Gala
On the 5th of June Bairnsdale Secondary College was proud to host a Drama Gala Night in the Forge Theatre. Performances ranged from Year 7 through to VCE and presented a variety of styles and techniques. Jane from Year 7 kicked off the night with a fantastic performance entitled ‘The Box’ using Neo Classical dance combined with Mime techniques. This was followed by a variety of highly entertaining Year 10 students who answered the question, “What happens after, happily ever after?”
The second half of the evening focused on our VCE students who were inspired by their stimulus entitled, “Unless.” Year 11 students explored how people in power react to global crisis, the idea of conscription and the glorification of war. The final performance of the night was an astounding 21 minute long play, created and performed by our Unit 3 students Caitlyn, Jara and Amber entitled ‘Disaster Ahead’ which focused on the question, "What happens if we stop caring for our present?”
Bairnsdale Secondary College staff wish to congratulate the students on their amazing work and thank all those who attended. We look forward to future performances.
