Paige Unleashes Her Creativity

Paige has been showcasing her creativity and artistic talent with this incredible artwork! Featuring a striking red dragon surrounded by intricate details, bold colours and beautiful floral elements, this piece certainly catches the eye. Paige should be very proud of the time, creativity and attention to detail she has put into bringing her artwork to life. What a fantastic example of the talent and creativity we have here at Bairnsdale Secondary College. 

Mia Makes Her Mark

Congratulations to Mia on an outstanding achievement in netball! Mia was recently named Best On Court in her Under 15s match during the NAIDOC Round. Her versatility, determination and commitment to her team have certainly paid off. What a fantastic achievement. Mia, we are very proud of you!

Let Creativity Take the Lead

Our students have been getting creative in Art, putting pencil to paper and bringing their ideas to life through drawing. It has been fantastic to see their creativity, imagination and individual styles shine through as they experiment with lines, shapes and detail.

Landforms and Landscapes

As part of our Landforms and Landscapes unit, 8B and 8G participated in an authentic learning experience at the BSC wetland recently. Working in pairs, the classes observed and recorded natural and human-made features within and around our school environment. The fieldwork provided an opportunity to think like Geographers, applying classroom knowledge to a real-world setting while developing observation and mapping skills.

Question of the Day 🤔

Over the past couple of weeks, our Year 8 students have been getting involved in our new Question of the Day! Each day brings a new question designed to get students thinking, sharing their opinions and sparking conversations. It has been great to see students stopping by, having their say and discovering just how many different answers and perspectives there can be!
