Afternoon Bowls

Learning How To Roll The Bowl!
A huge thank you to Narrandera Bowling Club for hosting 3 of our MC students for an engaging and enjoyable afternoon of lawn bowls. The club provided a welcoming environment for our students, allowing them to experience both the social and sporting aspects of this traditional Australian activity.
We’re especially grateful to Rob, who served as our coach for the day. Rob’s guidance was invaluable for our students, many of whom were new to the game. He patiently explained the fundamentals of lawn bowls, including the proper technique for delivering the bowl, how bias affects the trajectory, and strategies for aiming close to the jack. Rob’s coaching style made the learning process accessible and fun, ensuring that all students felt confident enough to have a go and improve their skills throughout the session.
A special thank you also goes to Reece, who assisted with the refreshments and made sure our group had everything we needed during our visit. Reece ensured that everyone stayed hydrated and comfortable, and his organisation allowed our students to focus on the game while enjoying the club’s facilities.
It was fantastic to see our students getting involved, learning a new sport, and actively participating in friendly competition. The enthusiasm and teamwork displayed were a testament to the positive atmosphere created by the Narrandera Bowling Club staff.
Our students are already looking forward to their next lesson and further opportunities to develop their bowls skills. Thank you again to everyone at Narrandera Bowling Club, especially Rob and Reece, for making this excursion such a memorable and worthwhile experience.
