Hands on High School

Hands-on High School Evening

On Tuesday evening our school was filled with enthusiasm and discovery with Year 5 and Year 6 students from our feeder primary schools attending our Hands on High School event. Together with their parents and carers, the students had the opportunity to step into the world of high school.

The evening provided students with the opportunity to participate in three short sessions designed as tasters of high school lessons. These hands-on activities allowed students to experience a slice of high school learning firsthand, sparking curiosity and excitement about the next stage of their education.

Meanwhile, parents and carers attended an informative session where they learned about the school’s programs, facilities, and the supportive environment we foster. They also enjoyed a guided tour of the school, providing insights into the resources and spaces our students access daily.

After the sessions, students, carers, and staff gathered back in the school hall to share a light supper, fostering community connections and offering a chance to discuss the evening’s experiences.

The event was met with positive feedback from attendees and highlighted the welcoming spirit of our school and the exciting opportunities that await our future students.
