Sports Report

On Thursday 22nd February 2024, saw 6 students from the college make their way to Werribee Outdoor Pool for the Wyndham Division Swimming competition.

It was a scorching day, but perfect for the pool.

Joshua Briggs, Mathew Mai, Annabella Mesiti, Rhys Mcintosh, Lincoln & Manning Bricknell all set their sights on success, with success they achieved.

Josh raced against his age group, competing very strongly and setting himself up nicely for nationals and regional competitions coming up.

Mathew came out of the blocks firing, blitzing his first race which sees him progress to the regional competition. Mathew achieved a time of 45.43 in the 50m breaststroke competition.

Annabella was firing on all cylinders and again, will progress to the regional stage with an amazing time of 46.41 in the 50m breaststroke competition.

Rhys swam against a strong competition and placed in 2 races and swam strongly again.

Lincoln and Manning were dynamic in the water and achieved great times in their respective races and have their sights set on next year’s competition.

It was a great day and the college are very proud of all of the achievements and success that these students have created.
