Student Voice &
Positive Environment
There have been many opportunities this term for students to put their hand up for the variety of leadership roles available to students at the college. Throughout the term, students have been elected to a range of leadership positions across the College. These include class captains, house captains, music and Interact leaders and SRC representatives.
Congratulations must go to the following students who have been elected by their peers as SRC representatives for their year level for 2024:
Year 7: Eva Jenkins, Oskar Iles, Rishik Verma
Year 8: Moon Dyson, Lucas Owen, Swati Veerappan
Year 9: Tondan Nguyen, Sofia Nan Soe Yadanar Thin, Franklin Ochi
Year 10: Bailey Walker, Lynda Khin, Aidan Butcher
Year 11: Julius Fuatimau, Shania Axiak, Bailey Thomas, Tala Clarete
Year 12: Morrisham Teariki, Riya Saini, Ashley Schellhorn, Kyaw Hai Hser, Glennen Brown, Jaimie-Lee Hopper
These leaders have already met multiple times this term and have a clear plan of how to encourage and improve student voice and agency at the college.
It is also important to make sure our student leaders have the appropriate training to lead those they represent. To ensure this, all student leaders at the college participated in the ylead leadership training day held on Thursday 7th March. It was an opportunity for students to meet and interact with other leaders throughout the College, work together to build a strong leadership culture at the College, and collectively look at our student data and make action plans to continue to improve it.
