It's that time again – the end of term! As we finish up, we're excited to celebrate the fantastic achievements of Term 1. This term has been packed with a lot of programs and opportunities, from learning new things to enjoying activities together. Let's take a moment to look back on what we've accomplished and get excited for what's coming next!

Our cheerleading chant is officially complete! While I haven't had the chance to witness the final product yet, as it's still in the hands of the production company, the glimpses we caught during filming were simply breathtaking. WOW doesn't even begin to describe it. I would like to thank Ms Butcher and the following students who helped make this a success!

Inclusion club is a new break time club that has started this year offering students the chance to explore various regulation strategies. Special thanks to Regina from Namaste Yoga for kickstarting these sessions, and now, a warm welcome to Mr. Croce, who has taken the reins. While initially an extension of the Year 8 tutor program, this club is open to all students eager to participate. Check out some snapshots from our sessions below!

Last week marked our inaugural House Captain meeting, providing students with a fantastic opportunity to unite and kick-start the rejuvenation of our house spirit program. Additionally, we're thrilled to announce our upcoming swimming carnival this week. Stay tuned for an exciting report on the event next term!

We were finally able to hold our Fitness Engagement session with Cherri from Lizard Fitness. We had a run of bad luck with dates and 40 degree days, so this event has been a couple of weeks in the making. Yr 7,8 and 9 students had an opportunity to participate in the program. Students were taken through a targeted fitness session. I’m sure not all the students LOVED it, but some definitely did and it was great to see the students having a go.     Thanks to Mr Morrison, Mr Walter, Ms Slater and Mr Barker for their support today!

Our Yr 11 VM students were lucky enough to take part in White Card and First Aid Training. If you didn’t know, the VM students complete different modules across the 2 years to ensure they have the certificates they need for work in WRS time. These courses are funded by the school. There was a lot of content delivered during the course, and students really got a sense of what an adult learning environment is really like. Students did a fantastic job and learnt a lot of practical information to be JOB READY.

Please see some of the photos from a session where their assessment required them to show they could use PPE correctly. Well done class on achieving there certificates.

Lastly, we hope to see you during the conferences! We have a special walkthrough event planned, celebrating 50 years of Wyndham Central College, complete with a BBQ and clothing drive. Please see our Community Update for more information
