Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

GRATITUDE
As we commence Term 3 and Semester 2, 2026 it is good to reflect back a little. We are deeply grateful for the great effort of our students and all their hard work, achievements and growth over the semester.
Returning from the break, I am also very grateful for the opportunity we have with the rhythm of the school year to have the busy terms and then time to stop, rest, recharge and then return. To have the time with family and get away is indeed a great blessing that we are very grateful for.
CHILD SAFETY
Child Safe Standard 7 “Processes for complaints and concerns are child-focused” is our focus for this newsletter. Please read the Parents newsletter from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools from this link below .
We also continue to invite Parents, Guardians, Carers and students to contact one of our Child Safety Team members (Ms Kol, any of our counsellors, Brooke, Arlene, Hannah, Casey or Mr Duckett) should you have any questions, concerns or issues, incidents you want to share.
WELCOME BACK CASEY
The College is very happy to welcome back our counsellor Casey Cilia this term as she returns from Parental Leave. Casey will be working part-time and further strengthen our great Counselling team. Welcome back Casey!
WINTER
Winter is a time where the weather can lead us to spend a little more time inside. It is also a good time to reflect a little on our own inside - our goals, achievements, feelings etc. As we start the term it is a good time for a bit of a self check-in and maybe a reset for the new semester ahead. We encourage Parents, Guardians and Carers to discuss and work with their children to reflect on Semester 1, 2026 and set goals for the Semester ahead.
LOOKING AHEAD
This week is a massive one for all our staff and students involved in the College Production Musical “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”. It takes a big team to make something like this happen end we congratulate all involved on the great effort, time and commitment given to make it a success. We wish them all the very best for the four performances and strongly encourage all families in our community to come along to a great night of entertainment and also be a support for our students. Hope you are able to make it to the show.
All the best for a great term.
God Bless.
Mr Justin Duckett
