Discover Your Future at Our Upcoming Careers Events!

The Careers and Pathways Team is excited to present two fantastic opportunities for students and families to explore future education, training, and career pathways. Whether you're considering a vocational pathway, university, TAFE, an apprenticeship, or you're still deciding what comes next, these events are designed to help you make informed choices about your future.

💥VET SPECTACULAR

🗓️Tuesday 29 July | 12.30pm-2.30pm

Year 9 and 10 students will attend our annual VET Spectacular—an interactive event showcasing the exciting range of Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) courses available at Nazareth College.

Students will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore the VETDSS courses offered on campus in 2026 and the exciting new programs commencing in 2027.
  • Participate in hands-on demonstrations and practical activities.
  • Speak with teachers, trainers, and current VET students about their experiences.
  • Discover how VET can contribute to their VCE or VCE Vocational Major while preparing them for further study, apprenticeships, traineeships, and employment.

Whether students are interested in health, community services, trades, hospitality, business or other vocational pathways, the VET Spectacular is the perfect opportunity to see these courses in action before making subject selections.

⚠️CAREERS EXPO

🗓️ Wednesday 30 July | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Students, together with their parents and carers, are warmly invited to attend the Nazareth College Careers Expo.

This exciting evening brings together a wide range of exhibitors from across the education and employment sectors, providing valuable information about post-school pathways and career opportunities.

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from:

  • Universities
  • TAFEs
  • Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
  • Apprenticeship and Traineeship providers
  • Employment and industry organisations

Whether you're planning for university, considering a vocational qualification, exploring an apprenticeship, or simply wanting to understand the many pathways available after school, the Careers Expo offers something for everyone. It is an excellent opportunity to ask questions, gather information and begin planning with confidence.

We encourage students and families to take advantage of these valuable events. Exploring career options early helps students make informed subject selections and build a pathway that aligns with their interests, strengths, and future aspirations.

We look forward to seeing you at both events as we celebrate the many exciting pathways available to our Nazareth College students!

Work Experience Round-Up 2026

The Careers Team are appreciative that Nazareth College continues to support students exploring potential employment opportunities as a way to help determine senior school pathways and subjects. A huge amount of gratitude goes to the Careers Teachers (Mr Cowan, Ms Spano, Ms Lupi, Ms Sifinos, Ms Giblin and Ms Alexander) who enthusiastically encouraged students to seek placements, the Year 10 staff who made contact and/or visited students on work experience and took some amazing snaps for the Nazarene and the thoughtful employers who supported our students as they begin their employment journey.

During my Year 10 work experience, I spent a week in a supercar workshop, getting hands‑on with some incredible machines. I learned the basics of workshop safety, helped with tyre checks, oil changes, and engine inspections, and even assisted with diagnostic scans.

The highlight was helping prepare a track-ready car and hearing it fire up after all the fine‑tuning. The mechanics taught me so much about performance engines, aerodynamics, and teamwork. It was an unforgettable experience and I’m very grateful for the opportunity.
