Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth

Welcome back to Term 3!

It is hoped that throughout this term we will consolidate many of the ongoing projects that the College has embarked upon.  The two building projects are near completion and the College should take possession of these learning facilities by early September.

Our focus on learning also continues throughout the coming semester, ensuring that high standards are upheld and that students are exposed to examination conditions to develop their skills and maximise their results.

On behalf of our community, I thank our staff, examiners, coordinators and the maintenance team for their efforts in ensuring the examination period ran smoothly.

Year 10 Work Experience was another significant event at the end of last semester. All our students except for nine (9) were placed in external venues, businesses or workplaces.  The Year 10 Work Experience program is extremely worthwhile and gives our young people real workplace experience and insight into what may lie ahead for them in the future.  Again, this would not be possible without the dedication and organisation of the Careers and Pathways Faculty.  I thank Theresa Lochery, Naomi Pernar, Coreen Grimwood, Willow Griffiths and the Admin team for overseeing this. 

This evening marks the opening of the school production “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”.  After many months of rehearsals, the students have the opportunity to showcase their talents before a live audience.  You can rest assured that it will be an outstanding production.  I thank the cast and crew, as well as our dedicated staff, for guiding and supporting our students during this memorable occasion.
