Lions Youth of the Year

Our public speaking students have begun with success at the Lions Youth of the Year award at the Buninyong Lions club on Monday night.  Eliza Dodd and Lainie Ballinger completed extensive paperwork and an interview outlining their impressive contribution to school and extra curricular events. The evening consisted of a 5 minute prepared speech and two impromptu speeches. Eliza spoke about the Stolen Generation while Lainie educated the audience on our precious resource, helium. The impromptu speech asked about social media and which animal they would like to become. All competitors at the event were outstanding and provided the adjudicators with hope about our next generation.  

Congratulations to Lainie who was awarded 'Best Speaker' and 'Overall Winner' at the event.
