Wellbeing
The Cavendish Primary School students were fortunate to be given extra Wellbeing time this week with a very special guest – Emma Kearney. Emma is a very accomplished footballer who has played for Western Bulldogs and now currently plays for North Melbourne in the AFLW league. Emma demonstrates excellent leadership skills and has captained North Melbourne for the last 6 years!
Emma, who is originally from Cavendish, led us in a highly motivating session focusing on GRIT- what makes a successful person and unpacking how that person might have achieved their success.
Emma’s session was highly engaging, fun, and interactive with the students being given timed challenges such as: creating a paper model, drawing a bee, build the tallest tower, keeping the ball in the air and building an aeroplane.
We would like to thank Emma for her continued support of the Cavendish students over the last two years. We appreciate her generosity, humour and flexibility and we are motivated to show GRIT in all our endeavours.
We hope her team continues to stay on top of the ladder and goes one step further in the 2024 Grand Final!
