Halls Gap Zoo excursion
On Monday the 21st of October the F-2 students headed to the Halls Gap Zoo. This excursion was a follow on from our schoolyard safari topic that we looked at last term. When we arrived at the zoo we were lucky to have a retile talk from 2 of the rangers where the students could pat and ask questions about a tortoise. We had a walk around the zoo and had to rescue a few bag straps from the deer, they could just see the tops of the cheetahs, see the rhinos up nice and close, watch the ostrich play in the water and a wombat waking up from its sleep to scratch its bum right in front of the students.
The students were lucky to see and pat a snake that was being shown to another group. It was a fantastic day and we all had lots of fun.
