Cricket Blast!

What a blast we had!

Our 5/6 class combined with students from Macarthur Primary and Branxholme Wallacedale Community School to take on teams from around the district.

We were entered as a mixed team, which was included as part of the Boys competition. Our first game was against Good Shepherd Boys who beat us 155 runs to 111. Wickets fell to the bowling of Sam, Cooper, Pippa and Emma.

In the second round we played Hamilton and Alexandra College Blue. Although we lost 147-118, we made more runs in this round, with Harrison from Branxholme claiming a wicket.

Our final round was against Gray Street. The Gray Street team presented some strong batsmen, winning 198 to our 63 runs. 

Highlights of the day – some smashing batting from everyone with some great bowling from Sam, Thomas, Emma, Pippa and Fiona. Ava finished off by hitting a 4 on the last bowl.

Although we didn’t come home with a win, we certainly won in the spirit of sportsmanship.
