Years 2 & 3

Last week the class was introduced to the book Wandi by Favel Parrett. There was so much anticipation and excitement about beginning the novel and this week the wait was finally over. This tale is of a young cub who is snatched from his family and home by a giant eagle, then dropped, injured and alone, in a suburban garden. This is where he meets his first Human, and begins his long journey to becoming the most famous dingo in the world. Wandi lives in a sanctuary in Melbourne and can be viewed online. 

Over the past two weeks we have been busily writing our own muddled up Fairy Tales for the Fleece and Flower Show. We have been so creative with how we have used different elements from well known Fairy Tales and created our own narratives. Students can't wait to share their stories with you!
