Interschool Sport

Bemin Secondary College has joined the Wyndham division for Interschool Sports. 

A large number of students have taken the opportunity to sign-up, tryout and be apart of multiple teams to begin the year. Our year 7s and 10s have shown off their sporting skills competing in a Volleyball in Term 1. 

Year 7 Boys & Girls Volleyball teams represented the College at Eagle Stadium on Wednesday 28th February. Falling just short in the semi finals. The students involved displayed the college values of respect and excellence through great sportsmanship.  

Year 10 Boys & Girls Volleyball teams represented the College at Eagle Stadium on Thursday the 29th of February. Both teams gave it their best efforts in all pool games with the boys placing 3rd and the girls making it to the Grand Final. The students involved described the day as "a great start to Interschool sports at Bemin Secondary". 

Interschool Sports is a great opportunity for students to show their school pride, create positive relationships with their peers and continue to build upon their resilience. Students will have a number of opportunities to compete in a variety of sports throughout the year. 

What's next in Term 2: This term we've had students tryout and establish teams for Netball at both year 7 and year 10 level. Students will complete as following:

• Year 7 and 10 boys Netball: Thursday 18th of April 2024
• Year 7 girls Netball: Monday 22nd of April 2024
• Year 10 girls Netball: Wednesday 27th of March 2024

Interschool sports in term 2 will include AFL, soccer and badminton.
