EARLY ACCESS VCE
We're thrilled to share the latest updates from Virtual Schools Victoria (VSV), where our early access VCE students are making remarkable strides in their academic journeys.
In Unit 1 Biology, our dedicated students have completed their first SAC (School-Assessed Coursework), showcasing their commitment and passion for learning. We commend their diligent efforts and unwavering dedication towards their studies.
Similarly, in Unit 1 Business Management, our students are navigating their coursework with determination and focus. Their hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed by VSV teachers, who have praised the quality and commitment exhibited by our students.
VLTI- Virtual Tutor Learning Initiative
We have been offered the wonderful opportunity to launch the Virtual Tutor Learning Initiative (VTLI) for literacy, starting in Term 2. This initiative aims to provide additional support and opportunities for selected students to further develop and extend their literacy skills beyond the standard curriculum.
Families of students who have been identified for participation in the VTLI will receive notification through Compass.
The VTLI is designed to offer personalised tutoring sessions, tailored curriculum extensions, and engaging learning activities that will help students deepen their understanding of literacy concepts. By participating in this program, students will have the chance to extend their learning.
Elective Subjects
This term, students have enthusiastically immersed themselves in a diverse array of elective subjects spanning various learning domains. With the freedom to select two electives per semester, our students have had the opportunity to explore and engage deeply in their areas of interest.
The elective offerings this term for Year 10 students have been as follows: Fabric Finesse, Design Mixology, Code to Connection, Ethical Eats, Plating Perfection, Get Fitter Run Faster, The Game Plan, History Crossroads, CSI, and Picture Perfect. At Year 7 students have had the opportunity to immerse themselves into Art, Drama and Digitial Technologies. These engaging subjects have provided students with valuable insights, practical skills, and enriching experiences across a wide spectrum of disciplines.
As we conclude Term 1, students are commended on their efforts in working hard to learn new learning routines and focussing on their individual learning journeys. We would like to wish all families and students a restful term break.
Thank you,
