Year 1 News

Dear Families,

Term 3 has been filled with events and activities galore. Students had an absolute ball at the Book Week parade on Friday and loved sharing who their favourite book characters were.

Students also had the opportunity to learn all about bravery and engaged with the Brainstorm Productions show called ‘Braveheart’. They absolutely loved this performance and some of our lucky students got to help out in the final act.

An important reminder to make sure you have booked in your child’s student led conference on the 10th of September. Students will finish at 12:30pm to allow teachers to prepare for the conferences.

For the remainder of term we have a few more important dates coming up, so please make sure you check them on the community calendar or in the important dates sections of the newsletter.

• Students should bring a drink bottle to school each day.
• Please pack a healthy fruit or vegetable snack every day for brain food.
• Students have been reminded to fill in their diaries when they read; teachers check diaries daily. 
• Students should be reading every night for at least 15 minutes.
• Please ensure children bring coats, gloves, or beanies to keep warm.
