Year 3 News

Dear Families,

We are already halfway through the term, and students have been doing some amazing things in their learning! They have been inventing with simple machines, writing creative stories and exploring fractions in fun and practical ways.

Book Week was a wonderful celebration. It was fantastic to see so many students enjoying their love of reading and dressing up. Everyone looked fabulous in their costumes!

We are looking forward to our incursion next week, where students will get hands on with making their own machines.

In Week 9, students will have the opportunity to share and celebrate their learning during Student-Led Conferences. Please make sure to book in a time on Compass, we look forward to seeing you all.

It has been great to see many students making such a strong start with their homework. Just a friendly reminder that we ask students to complete 3 homework tasks each week and to write a heading for the activity they are working on.

Thank you for your continued support. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!

• Students should also bring a drink bottle to school each day.
• Please pack a healthy fruit or vegetable snack everyday.
• Students have been reminded to fill in their diary when they read
• Students should have their black satchel at school every day.
• Inside black satchels should be: diaries, library books, home reading texts and homework book

Students should be reading every night for at least 20 minutes.
