Year 6 News

Dear Families,

In Year 6, we’ve been diving into a range of exciting learning opportunities. Our English lessons have seen the students beginning their analytical essays on The One and Only Ivan. It’s been wonderful to see how engaged the students have become with the text and creating their painted essays.

In Mathematics, students have been busy exploring geometry, including using protractors to measure and compare angles with increasing accuracy.

Meanwhile in Investigations, students have started planning presentations to highlight local changes in our community, developing both their research and public speaking skills.

We were also very excited to officially open the new Grade 6 Chill Out Zone, a space for our Year 6 students only, where they can relax, connect with friends, and enjoy some well-deserved downtime.

Another highlight this term was our Book Parade last week. The effort and creativity that went into costumes was simply awesome, and it was fantastic to see our Year 6 students leading the way with their enthusiasm.
