Year 4 News

Dear Families,

Over the past three weeks, our Grade 4 students have been busy participating in a variety of exciting events. We proudly represented our school at the District Athletics, dressed up in creative costumes for the Book Parade, and supported important causes through Jeans for Genes and ‘Bullying No Way’ Week. Our SRC also took action for the environment with a special tree-planting activity. To finish off, students showed amazing teamwork and pride during House Spirit Week. It has been a wonderful time of learning, fun, and community!

Please continue to support your child’s learning at home with the suggestions from the Home Learning page. By doing so, it helps reinforce what they are learning in class, builds confidence, and encourages positive learning habits. It also gives families a chance to connect over schoolwork and shows children that learning can happen anytime, anywhere.

Student Led Conferences will take place on Wednesday 10th September starting at 1pm. This is a chance to celebrate your child’s achievements and for them to showcase their learning. Reminder that this is only a 10 minute time slot, so please be prompt at getting there on time to get the most out of it.

Thank you for your ongoing support!

The Year 4 Team,

Olivia Cameron, Rachel Lindorff, Tanya Saggers, Emily Lloyd, Stacie Buller, Hayley Cottrell

  • A reminder that students should not be taking any packaged food outside during break times, it is unfortunate to see the amount of rubbish in our yard. • Please pack a healthy fruit or vegetable snack everyday.
  • Students are encouraged to read every night for 15-20 minutes and log their reading in their diary.
