What's Happening in Digital Technology?

This term students are exploring a variety of topics in the Hive.
Preps have enjoyed the variety of resources the Hive has to offer, including Spheros and BeeBots, as well as Jigsaw Puzzles and Tux Paint on the Computers.
Year 1s have been exploring digital maps, identifying different nations and the flags that represent them.
Year 2 students are exploring the use of algorithms and flowcharts to assist with decision making and giving instructions to either a human or a robot.
Year 3s are practicing using the Microsoft Office programs to create a variety of documents including shopping lists and PowerPoint presentations.
Year 4 students have been utilising a process of planning, building, and reflecting to complete a variety of build challenges with both LEGO and Minecraft Education.
Year 5s have explored a variety of digital art programs to construct a variety of creations through Photography, 3D Modelling and Pixel Drawing.
Year 6 students have engaged with electronics by designing and constructing a variety of electrical circuits to power components such as lamps, motors and buzzers.
