What's Happening in P.E?

During Term 2 in Physical Education, students in the junior year levels have been developing their athletic skills, including short distance running, long-distance running, long jump, and other related events.

Students in the senior year levels have been introduced to and are actively practising Hockey, Netball, and Sofcrosse. A strong focus has been placed on skill development within these sports to support participation in minor games. Students have also had the opportunity to take part in minor matches, with some taking on the role of referees to further develop their understanding of gameplay and rules.

In addition, students have benefited from exposure to visiting sports professionals, including basketball players and a Hockey coach from Hockey Victoria, who have shared their expertise and insights.

A few weeks ago the school community came together for a highly successful whole-school Athletics Day. Students from Prep to Level 2 participated in a range of novelty events such as shuttle relays, egg-and-spoon races, and house flag banner creation. Students from Level 3 to 6 competed in a variety of athletic events, contributing valuable house points to their teams.
