Sacrament of First Reconciliation

Next Wednesday evening students in Year 3 will celebrate the Sacrament of First Reconciliation. This represents an important step in their continuing faith development. Through the celebration of God's mercy and love, they draw closer to God and to the Church. Please keep in your prayers all of the students who will celebrate this sacrament.

Sacrament on First Eucharist

Next term, students from Year 4 (plus a few others) will celebrate the Sacrament of First Eucharist, or First Holy Communion. Children are preparing for the Sacrament as part of their Religious Education studies. An important part of this preparation is the participation in a Family Sacramental Evening. This will take place Wednesday 29th April in the Knock Centre (OLSC Sports Hall), from 6.30-7.30pm. Attendance at this evening is compulsory for families and students, as the program is designed to deepen the faith and understanding of all within the family, to allow the Sacrament to be celebrated with reverence and understanding. Wednesday 29th April will also be the First Eucharist Spirituality Day, during which students will prepare for the Sacrament in an extra special way with the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It is important that students are present on that day.

A reminder, also, that our First Eucharist celebrations will be in the Knock Centre (OLSC Sports Hall) as part of the Community Mass.  The following students have indicated that they will celebrate the Sacrament on the following date:
