We can not believe it almost the end of term 1! So much learning has happened over the last couple of months and we could not be more proud about how settled into school life everyone is! Great job! 

Literacy 

We have been learning about the different parts of books, inluding characters, setting, beginning, middle and end. We have been identifying the parts of a story and now putting the parts into order to retell the story to someone else.

Students have had the opportunity to create their own stories. Students have been recording the sounds they hear in words. We have been so impressed with what students have been able to acheive! 

Numeracy 

We have been learning about representing numbers and putting numberd into the correct order. 

Students have been practicing writing numbers and how to form them correctly. Here is some little saying you can use if you would like to help practice at home! 

Wellbeing and Humanities 

In wellbeing, we have been learning about how its important to be proud of who you are and celebrate those differences. This tied in nicely with Harmony Day, were we celebrate that everyone belongs in our community! Students have dicussed what being brave looks like and that it is okay to be nervous sometime.

We are excited to share with you what we have been learning about in Humanities on Wednesday 1st April at 2:45. Our focus this term has been around how we can be a good community member, this includes asking for help, how to be a good freind and using our manners. We have made puppets to share these great ideas with you!
