Respectful, Responsible and Exceptional
On Friday 20th March, students at Moriac Primary School proudly celebrated Harmony Day by wearing a splash of orange to show their support for inclusion, respect and belonging. Throughout the day, classes participated in a range of engaging activities that helped students learn about the importance of diversity and what it means to create a community where everyone feels welcome. Students explored the message “Everyone Belongs” through discussions, stories, creative tasks and shared classroom experiences. It was wonderful to see our students embracing the values of kindness, understanding and acceptance.

This term, students at Moriac Primary School have been participating in our Respectful Relationships learning program. Through this important curriculum area, students have been building their understanding of positive relationships, wellbeing and respect for themselves and others. The topics covered this term have included Emotional Literacy, where students learned to identify, understand and express their emotions, and Personal and Cultural Strengths, which encouraged students to recognise their own strengths and appreciate the diverse backgrounds, experiences and qualities of others.
