Year Two News 

Humanities 

Next week, Year Two students will be going off on our Humanities Walk to celebrate our Geography unit of learning. Students have spent the term learning about Miners Rest, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia and the countries surrounding Australia. We will be walking through Miners Rest and looking at places we have learnt about such as the Cenotaph, playground, CFA building and more. We cannot wait to explore places in our community! 

Writing

Over the last four weeks, Year Two students have been learning about Narratives in Writing. They have learnt about how narratives are created to entertain people and are made up stories. 

Students went through a whole writing process to plan, draft, edit and publish their own narratives. They had to create characters, decide on a setting, create a problem and a fitting solution to that problem.
