The Brighton Secondary College community was buzzing with excitement during lunchtime on Thursday, as students, staff and families came together to support the World’s Greatest Shave in an incredible show of generosity, courage and school spirit.
The amphitheatre was the place to be – the sun was shining, the crowd was cheering, and the clippers were in full swing as brave participants shaved, coloured, or chopped their locks to raise money and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation. This event is all about standing in solidarity with those facing blood cancer – and our students, teachers and parents certainly rose to the challenge.
The transformations of our brave participants were both hilarious and heartwarming. Some students even, very carefully, took the clippers to their teachers’ heads themselves!
Organised with energy and care by our dedicated student leadership team and staff, the event was a resounding success and a true display of compassion in action.
The college community is immensely proud of all who participated, donated or cheered from the sidelines. We also pass on a special thanks to all of our volunteers on the day – it couldn't happen without you.
