Regional Cross Country

On Wednesday 18th June our 3 Regional Cross country runners took part in a gruelling XC race at Hastings down in Western Port.

Congratulations to Sophie T in year 6 who finished 11th in her race to finish in overall top 12 and progress through to the State XC championships, 2025. A fantastic result and outstanding achievement to make it that far. Well done Sophie you are a natural talent. Sophie will compete at the State XC on Thursday 24th July at Yarra Valley Racecourse. We wish you all the best from the BNPS community.

Special mention to Lexi B also in year 6 who finished in 25th place which is also a fantastic effort as Lexi isn't a runner as such but a super athlete that can just run!! A great effort to make it as far as she did. Well done, Lexie!

Maya T in year 4 for her first ever regionals appearance finished in 17th position which again is a fantastic achievement and following in the running shoes (she literally did run in her sister's shoes at the Division meet) of Sophie and the running family genes. A great performance that is just a glimpse of what Maya may achieve over the next few years.

Winter Interschool Sport

As we get closer to the end of term, we have 1 final round of Interschool sport left for the term which will be played on the last day of school. We have had a few successes with teams winning every game so far-in our District competition.  Girls netball, Mixed netball, Boys Hockey and Girls softball. All these teams will go on to play at the next level which we call Division early in term 3. Good luck to all teams.

The girls Handball team also won all of their games and are the District champions. There is no progression competition for Handball with the SSV.

On the 19th of June Maya in year 4, Lexi and Sophie in year 6 went to Regionals Cross Country. The students who went did an amazing job. Regional Cross-country runners took part in the race at Hastings down in Western Port. Sofie will be going to the next level State and we hope she does great.

On Friday 21st of June the year 5/6s had their interschool sports game everyone played great. The scores were for Netball:  girls won 21-3 boys won 26-1, Handball: girls won 27 – 11 boys won 24 – 4, Soccer: girls sadly lost 1-4 and boys lost as well 3-4, Hockey: girls won 3-1 and the boys also won 3-0, AFL 9s: team A: won 82-45 and team B also won. But Softball did not have a game so they just did training.

We have one last game left against SEPS and then this will conclude our Winter Interschool Sports for the year and next term we will be starting athletics.

End of Circus Program

The Circus program as part of our PE program for all students in the school has just finished with all students finding some kind of success in either- juggling, poi, diablo, walking on stilts, spinning plates or the hula hoop.

Thanks to the Circus crew who ran the program and always get lots of laughs and smiles from all the students. A great time had by all. Even Mrs Hall can juggle and walk of stilts now!!
