Principal's Report

I have been visiting and teaching in many of the year levels recently and the children have been very excited about their upcoming holidays.  I think half of our families are heading off to Bali!

Lunch with the Principal

On Monday, I had the pleasure of teaching 1C and thought that a 'Lunch with the Principal' might be a fun change. With only 14 students in attendance, we all fit comfortably in my office. It was such a lovely experience sitting, chatting, and getting to know the students in a more relaxed setting.

Lunch delivered to office girls on a wet day timetable yesterday.

As we come to the end of Term 2, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the achievements, events, and milestones that have made this term so special at Beaumaris North Primary School.

It’s been a busy and productive term filled with learning, growth, and celebration. Our students have continued to show curiosity, resilience, and enthusiasm in all areas of their learning.

From engaging classroom projects and specialist programs to excursions, sporting events, and student-led initiatives, there has been no shortage of opportunities for students to shine.

Highlights from this term include:

  • A very successful School Review

  • Whole school participation in Circus skills during their PE lessons and the Carlton Respects Program. Many interesting incursions and excursion that the students have enjoyed.

  • A wide range of sporting events, including inter-school sport and cross-country, where students proudly represented our school with great sportsmanship.

  • Continued work across all year levels with the IB Primary Years Programme, with students developing their skills as inquirers and thinkers.

  • The commencement of a variety of lunch clubs

Farewell Mr Angus Ross

I would like to inform you that Mr Angus Ross will be taking leave for Semester 2, beginning on Monday 21 July 2025.

While we will certainly miss Mr Ross during this time, we are pleased to share that Ms Jenna Morecroft will be stepping into the full-time teaching role in 5A. Jenna is a dedicated and experienced educator, and we are confident that her presence will ensure a smooth and consistent learning experience for the students.

Thank you for your continued support.

Perform Club

Every Tuesday at lunchtime, students from Prep, year 1 and year 2 gather in the year 2 building for Perform Club—a space where they act out plays, songs and dances with their peers. This initiative encourages students to step out of their comfort zones and express themselves confidently.

Aligned with the PYP, Perform Club emphasises the development of key learner profile attributes. Participants exemplify the "Risk-Taker" attribute by approaching unfamiliar situations with courage and forethought, and the "Communicator" attribute by expressing themselves confidently and creatively, fostering open and effective communication.

We would like to congratulate all of our participants this term and look forward to many more wonderful performances in the future.
