VCE Music success

Congratulations to Joe Elliott and Ben Nixon on completing their end of year Music Performance Assessments yesterday. These young men played a 20-minute program of pieces in a variety of styles to a very high standard.

Their performances were held at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts and were presented to two Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) assessors - these assessors usually have a total "poker face" but our sources tell us that at times they were grinning from ear to ear and couldn't help tapping their feet along to "Give a Little" by LeGrand which has become one of the boy's signature pieces this year.

A huge congratulations also to the staff that supported them - VCE Music Teacher, Ms Carol Roberts; Instrumental Music Woodwind Instructor, Mr Tim Snibson; faithful accompanists, Will Stephens and Chrissy Schuler, and gear carrier (roadie) and moral supporter, Mr Pankhurst.
