House Swimming Carnival
Last Tuesday 27 March we had a sunny warm day to kick off our swimming carnival. The House captains came dressed in their funny costumes and house colours to brighten up the pool and began our carnival with our freestyle events. All students swam a stroke or two and enjoyed the laughter, support from their cheering houses and some exercise. If you swim a lap of the pool, you receive a point for your house and if you managed to get a place with a ribbon then you gained extra points on the day.
Unfortunately, the buses had to be redirected on route due to an accident we started late which meant that we missed our annual teacher's vs House captains relay race and our fun novelty swims at the end.
The results for the day- Congratulations to WOOD HOUSE
1st place- WOOD
2nd place – RESERVE
3rd place – MCDONALD
4th place – MOREY
House spirit award went to MCDONALD due to the magnificent cheering and supporting for teammates throughout the day and voted as best house by all the staff. Well, done McDonald!!
The students who excelled in each of the events- the fastest swimmer for age group and stroke now progresses to the District carnival on Thursday 7 March. We have 27 students this year who make up the BNPS swim team and will compete against all 7 other schools in the District. We wish all the students the best of luck at MSAC on Thursday.

The PE Team
Wood House Report
On the 27 February the Sports Swimming Carnival was held at GESAC. We were running a bit late because the buses arrived a bit late, but everyone was really well organised, and we ended up not being too late.
Everyone had an amazing time and came in wonderful costumes! In the end Morey came 4th with 175 points, McDonald came 3rd with astonishing 217 points, Reserve came 2nd with points close to Wood -329 points and Wood took home the victory once again with 375 points!
We hope everyone enjoys next year's swimming carnival and has an amazing time once again.

Cricket Victoria
Students in years 3-6 have been lucky enough over the past two weeks to have Cricket Victoria ambassadors come out to the school and teach us some new cricket fun skills and minor games. All the students loved having new faces and a bit of variety added to their PE lessons. Thanks to AK, Stef and Alex for all their coaching and great comradery with the students.
