Mascot Competition Winner
We are excited to announce that Riley A has won our mascot design competition! We received an overwhelming number of incredible entries making it an extremely tough decision for the OSHC team. Keep an eye out- you’ll be seeing our new mascot Dash the dragon popping up around the room very soon!
Boonwurrung Seasonal Calendar
We have been continuing to explore the Boonwurrung Seasonal Calendar with the students learning about Pareip- the time of True Spring.
Instead of just looking at the date on the wall, the Boonwurrung Seasonal Calendar teaches us to watch Country for signs of the changing environment. We’ve been noticing the shift right at our door with a shift in warmer days, lighter mornings, sudden spring showers, vibrant flowers looming and local wildlife becoming more active.
Students have loved looking at how our own birthdays align with these natural rhythms!
Last Chance to Book Holiday Program
Just a reminder that bookings for the upcoming Holiday Program will officially close this Sunday, September 13. Please see Compass post-dated Tuesday 8 September for the Flyer of our daily activity schedule and the Information Letter for important details regarding routines, dress code and fee policies.

Please note students require an active OSHC enrolment prior to attending the Vacation Program.
Hats
In line with our SunSmart policy as we head into the warmer weather, wide brimmed hats are required to be worn at OSHC from September to April. Please ensure you remind your child/children to have their school hat with them or alternatively pack another wide brimmed hat to use when at OSHC. Students who don’t have hats will be restricted to play in designated shaded areas.
Last Day of Term
Don’t forget that that next Friday, September 18, we will open at 2:30 p.m. to align with the early school dismissal. OSHC will close at our regular time of 6:00 p.m. If Friday is your child’s usual day with us, they will be automatically booked for after-school care. If you do not need care on this day, please email Kelly by Friday, September 11, to avoid being charged for the session. Failure to cancel by this date will result in the session fee being charged.
Account Reminder
There are a few accounts that remain overdue; please ensure these are paid as a matter of urgency to ensure your place at OSHC. If you are experiencing any difficulties, please email Kelly at oshc@beaumarisnorthps.vic.edu.au so that we can organise a payment plan to suits you.

To align with national Child Safe Standards and the National Regulations regarding Safe Use of Digital Technologies and Online Environment we kindly remind all parents and visitors that personal photography or video recording is not permitted anywhere on service grounds. We capture plenty of moments through our official service devise, ensuring all media is handled securely and in accordance with privacy consents. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our service safe and secure!

Feedback
Over the next few weeks, we are placing a special focus on our OSHC menu. Nutrition and child enjoyment go hand in hand which is why our student leadership team has once again been actively reviewing our weekly offerings to see how we can make mealtimes even better.
