Magic moment for Matt 

SWEET VICTORY SUNSET 10,000

Matt Bevilacqua (SVC 2001-08) won the Sunset 10,000 at the Gold Coast on 15 February. This was the final event in the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series. 

His lead was such that he had the thrill in being able to gather up his one-year-old son, Beau, from his partner, Brielle Cooper, and cross the line with him.  Added to this thrill was the prize money for the win — $10 000.

Among Matt’s other many achievements are his winning of the Nutri-Grain Ironman series in 2018 and 2023, the Coolangatta Gold in 2019 and five victories in the gruelling 51.5 km  Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard World Championship.
