SIBLING INTERNATIONALS

Both Peter and Michael Di Venuto were involved in the 2026 T20 World Cup earlier in the year, Michael as Batting Coach of the Australian team and Peter as Team Manager for Italy. Both had represented Italy in One Day Internationals some 20 years. 

In 2013, Michael (SVC 1986-91) was appointed the Australian national cricket team's full-time batting coach by head coach Mickey Arthur . In January 2016, due to an illness to incumbent coach Darren Lehmann, he was appointed senior coach for the T20I series against India. 

In February 2016, Michael joined Surrey County Cricket Club as head coach remaining there until 2020; he was head coach in 2018 when the club won its first County Championship title since 2002. In July 2021, along with Jeff Vaughan, he was appointed as  the assistant coach of the Australian men's cricket team. 

Peter (SVC 1982-87) has had an outstanding cricket career both as a player and as a coach at both school and club level. He is currently Sports Coordinator at Guilford Young College.

In recognition of same he was added to Cricket Tasmania Premier League Hall of Fame

in 2024.
