4W

We are building a website in 4W to capture our knowledge building across the next few weeks as we look at our global neighbours. Today was Indonesia!

Fresh back from our camp at Toolangi the kids thought they would get down a little bit of writing to tell you all about it.

Alasdair - When it was my turn to try the abseiling wall, I had to show extreme bravery by climbing to the top of the abseil and I liked the view. The instructor helped me by telling me what to do. I went down the wall and I did three 360s and when you get to the floor you have to put your arms out and look up or else you will be hit in the face by the rope.

Audrey - One minute I was climbing the crates and the next I was floating in the air.

We went back to go have lunch after the crate climb.

Barry - My second favourite activity was frisbee golf.  I loved it because of exploring and finding things. It was also fun because I got to compete with my friends in a friendly competition. And after that, we got free time to play table tennis.

Carter - Now it’s my turn to go on the flying fox. Zzzzzzz! There I go. It was very scary and exciting.

Ellie - Finally we got to Camp Toolangi and when I first stepped into the warm cozy room I was relieved that it was warm and not cold.

Grace - RING RING RING RING RING RING RING!!!!! I woke up early at 6:33am. Uuuurrrrrrrhhhhhhhhh. I hate waking up early. Then I remembered I was going to Camp Toolangi! I jumped out of bed as fast as I could, well that's what I wanted to do. I actually rolled onto the floor slowly.

Indi - After a long day of games, stepping inside our warm cabin felt so good. In my cabin  we had a storyteller that read a book , a fidget maker who helped us fidget, a teddy keeper and ME the sleepy head.

Kenzie - My activity was archery and this is how I think I had to do. Once it was my turn to step up and have my turn I tried to put my full body in focus mode so that I could hit a bullseye but unfortunately I only hit the ground which is pretty sad but I got over it very quick and swiftly.

Lincoln - NOM NOM! It was dinner time at Camp Toolangi, everyone was happily eating some very yummy pasta. My table was laughing their heads off. After that we all went to our cabin.

Lulu - I kept climbing myself up the crates until I got up to seven crates. It was wobbling a lot, but I thought I could go up just one more crate. As I did, it started wobbling heaps, and that’s when the tower of crates fell down to the ground. It felt really fun to be dangling from the harness waiting to lower down.
