4/5A

It has been another busy and productive few weeks in 45A. We have now wrapped up our Knowledge Building topic on the human body, where students learned about bones, joints, ligaments and tendons, and how all of these systems work together to help our bodies move and function.
We have now moved into our new topic, The World Around Us, with a focus on South East Asia. Students have begun learning about the 11 countries that make up this region and have been working hard to match each country with its capital city. There has already been some healthy competition in class as students test their memory and geography knowledge.
Our Year 4 students recently attended camp at Camp Toolangi, and they should all be very proud of the way they represented the school. Their behaviour throughout camp was excellent, and it was fantastic to see every student approach each activity with a positive attitude and a willingness to challenge themselves by trying new things. A special shout out to Isabelle, whose archery skills were incredibly impressive. If her performance at camp was anything to go by, we may well have a future Olympic archer in our midst!
Our Year 5 students also represented the school at Cobaw Sports in football and netball. While the results may not have gone exactly the way we had hoped, the way students conducted themselves throughout the day was outstanding. Their behaviour, sportsmanship and positive attitude were a credit to both themselves and the school, and it was great to see them support one another and give their best effort in every game.
