Tennis Clinics
For the last couple of weeks, the school has been doing the tennis clinic. Tim has been coming to the school to teach tennis on the basketball court. We’ve been doing warm-ups and rallies with a partner. My high score with my partner is 28. It's been really fun playing tennis. ~ Henry
Orienteering Championships
From Samson’s point of view:
First, we hopped on the bus for a very long bus drive. The people in our school going were Will, Cameron, Sophie, Hudson and I. We have all won in the previous orienteering at Maroondah Dam. Hudson went in the car while the rest of us went on the bus. The drive was about an hour and when we got there, we put our bags down and we ate some of our food. By the time we got there, Hudson was already there waiting for us. After a while of waiting, we ended up getting these card things that went around our wrists to scan a little box that was connected to a flag. After around 10-20 minutes of waiting, I started and I instantly found the first few flags until I was met with a big decision. It was either that I went straight ahead or turned left. After about a minute of wasting time, I saw some people going left up the mountain and I followed them and I found the next flag. I kept heading straight ahead, constantly running and walking over and over again until I finished. For a while, I was in 1st place and the only one who had finished with a time of 25 minutes. A few minutes later, I went to check the leaderboard and I was second. Not long after, Will finished, and I went to check mine and his placement on the leaderboard and he was 2nd! I was very happy for him and my placement made me very shocked. I was somehow 6th and while looking I went down to 7th! I was so shocked considering I finished first. But i was still happy since Sophie and Will both got 2nd place!
Enchanted Adventure
What we thought about the P&F Surprise Day!
The Bus Trip ~ Joe
On 27/11/25, we went to the Enchanted Adventure Park. The day was my birthday, so it was really fun. The bus trip was about two hours. Everybody started to sing Happy Birthday to me. Zac started to sing a song about getting out of bed and going to school and it was really funny.
Tree Surfing ~ Will
On Thursday, we went tree surfing and my group went on the tube slides first. Then we went to the tree surfing and I was so scared. I have a massive fear of heights, but I overcame it and ended up loving it. The best bit was the zipline. I also found a red tree spider.
Tree Surfing ~ Blake
At 10 am, we got ready, and we went on the platform. I was so scared. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was a bit scary then, after the tree surfing we went to the maze we did’t find the exit. Then we went on the tube slide, then we got on the bus home. ~ Blake

Class Novel - His Name Was Walter
~ By Bennett
Grade 4/5 read a class novel this term, His Name Was Walter. And here’s a quick recap.
Colin is the new kid at a school because his family sold their farm. On a school trip, the bus broke down. One teacher takes most of the kids, and another, Ms Fiori, took Colin, Tara, Lucas and Grace. These 5 go to an abandoned house and find a book.
In the book, there was an orphan named Walter. The orphanage matron gave him a new name because there were 2 other Walters already. Time skip, Walter’s 14, going to work when he finds a friend of his late mother. When Walter hears the story of his life, he runs from the city. After going around alone for a little bit, he finds Magda the Witch while running from soldiers. He works and bonds with her until she dies, after telling Walter about being a witch, having a daughter and a son. In the past, it was wartime. Her son didn’t go to war and three girls called him a coward, resulting in him going to war. He dies, Magda turns them into ducks, her daughter runs away. Magda dies of old age, Walter sets out to find Abby, Magda’s daughter. Walter accidentally runs into her granddaughter, Elizabeth (We don’t learn her name until the end of the book, Going to call her Sparrow Because that’s what we call her until the end) Walter falls in love with Sparrow, but learns Abby died. Walter lives in the town run by Sparrow’s Dad, Lord Vane. (Evan Anagram) Sparrow and Walter meet every Sunday. Back in the real world, Lucas gets a key for a locked door. In there Colin and Tara see a ghost because they have been secretly reading the book without Lucas, Grace or Ms Fiori. In the book, Walter spends three years at the town. Walter goes to the Second War after being fired for meeting Sparrow. When Walter comes back from the war, he storms Lord Vane’s Palace. And dies to Lord Vane after learning that he was embezzling money from the Treasure House Lord Vane owns. Stresses Lord Vane out after death so much that a blood vessel in his brain bursts. Sparrow writes the book they’re reading because the story is disguised as a fairytale to expose the truth. Sparrow uses the magic she inherited from Magda to kill the thieving housekeeper before dying. Colin, Tara, Lucas, Grace and Ms Fiori shine the truth on the town they were supposed to go to, because that was the town from the book. ( :Go read the book, because I missed like 20 percent of it.
