日本語 Nihongo

Konnichiwa from Japanese class! We had another successful online exchange lesson with Grade 6 students and Minami Fuyuya Primary School in Japan last week. Each student prepared and practised their self-introduction and questions in Japanese. Japanese students also gave us their school introductions in English, and the level of their English and our students' Japanese proficiency were pretty similar. Our students engaged very well and made an effort to communicate with the Japanese students. A few students had not had a chance to express themselves with certain nervousness; however, the experience they had was incredible. I was delighted to see the smiles on our students' faces, and they did their best in their final opportunity to execute the exchange lesson at St. Joseph Primary School.

Meanwhile, Grade 3 is practising their self-introduction very well for their turn. We are planning to conduct the first online lesson for Grade 3 on December 16th, the last day of the year.  Wish us luck; they are very excited about this opportunity.

This week, we were getting ready for the Grade 6 graduation. All the grades except Grade 6 made some special message cards to express their gratitude and congratulations. Grade 6 also made some cards to give tips and congratulations to some of the future leaders for next year. Grade 6 made their own jars to receive messages from other grades. I'm looking forward to giving those jars out to the Grade 6 students on the last day.

Have a lovely weekend!

Not long now until the Christmas holiday
